Ground Engineering Awards 2021

European Geophysical Services was highly commended at the Ground Engineering Awards, in the category UK project with a Geotechnical Value of between £500k and £1M, for their contribution to the Thames Tideway East project. The firm received the commendation at the ceremony in London on the 23rd November for its geotechnical work on the project, which included the surveying of nine boreholes using a suite of tools including Natural Gamma, Formation Density and Borehole Magnetic Resonance (BMR).

Mat Magill, the engineer that worked on the whole project said “to receive this recognition for our geophysics capability in a big industry competition is a great achievement for myself and the business. The work, which was commissioned by our client Terradat involved Borehole Magnetic Resonance for in-situ measure of ground porosity along with density and natural gamma logging.”
