Tools

Natural Gamma Tool

Measures the naturally occurring gamma radiation found in rocks and sediment.

Gamma-Gamma Tool

Indicates the apparent density of the material surrounding the tool.

Spectral Gamma Tool

Measures the gamma energy spectra produced by the decay of uranium, thorium, potassium and other man-made radioactive isotopes.

Water Sampler Tool

Collects fluid samples from specific depths in a borehole.

Cement Bond Log

Sonic tool that measures the condition of the cement/grout bond around a borehole’s steel lining.

Impeller Flowmeter Tool

This tool is used to determine vertical fluid velocity within a borehole and identify areas of inflow or outflow.

Acoustic Imager (Televiewer) Tool

Produces an image of the borehole wall using the travel time and amplitude of an acoustic signal transmitted and received by a rotating ultrasonic sensor in the tool.

Acoustic Imager Casing Evaluation Tool

Produces an image of the borehole wall or casing using the travel time and amplitude of an acoustic signal transmitted and received by a rotating ultrasonic sensor in the tool.

Borehole Magnetic Resonance (BMR) Tool

Measures the amount of water present in the pore space using permanent magnets and antenna, similar to an MRi machine in a hospital.

Caliper Tools

These tools measure the mean diameter of boreholes. They are used to check the integrity of borehole linings, and where a borehole is unlined to identify zones of washout, breakout or fissures.

Casing Collar Locating Tool

This tool measures changes in magnetic flux due to the presence of magnetic material and is used to determine the position of steel casing, its joins and other changes in the mass of magnetic material.

Casing Collar Locating Tool – Pile Detection

This tool measures changes in magnetic flux due to the presence of magnetic material and is used to determine the position of steel casing, its joins and other changes in the mass of magnetic material.

Dual Induction Tool

The induction tool generates an electromagnetic field in the vicinity of the borehole and measures the response of the formations to this applied field, from which conductivity is determined.

Dual Neutron Tool

The neutron tool essentially responds to the hydrogen content of the surrounding material.

Dual Spaced Focused Resistivity Tool

This tool measures the resistivity of the material surrounding the borehole.

Dual Video Camera

This borehole camera offers a twin view set up allowing the operator to switch between either a forward or side view camera.

Dual Video Camera With Orientation

This borehole camera offers a twin view set up allowing the operator to switch between either a forward or side view camera. The camera unit has a built in orientation system.

Heat Pulse Flowmeter Tool

The heat pulse flowmeter consists of two very sensitive temperature sensors, one 5cm above and one 5cm below, a small heating element.

Formation Density Tool

The logs from each detector indicate the apparent density of the formation within a radius of investigation related to the spacings.

Full Wave Sonic Tool (FWS)

This tool has been specially designed to provide a full wave-form recording of sonic signals and uses fixed spaced transmitter – receivers.

Gyro Verticality Tool

The North Seeking Gyro sonde provides full multishot orientation and deviation surveys of boreholes in any environment, including steel casing and drill pipe.

Magnetic Susceptibility Tool

This is a two or three coil sonde designed to measure apparent formation magnetic susceptibility.

Normal Resistivity + SP Tool (Elog)

This tool measures the resistivity of the material surrounding the borehole.

Optical Imager Tool

A precision-machined prism and CCD camera assembly permits a high definition optical image of the borehole wall to be captured in a variety of horizontal and vertical resolutions.

P&S Wave μSeismic Tool

The μSeismic Tool allows simultaneous measurement of P&S wave velocities. This method gives better accuracy and resolution than other seismic methods.

Slimline Video Camera

This camera is designed to survey both narrow boreholes and those with a narrow access hole.

Temperature And Electrical Conductivity Tool

There is a natural geothermal gradient of increasing temperature (T) with depth.

Verticality Tool

This tool employs a combination of magnetometers and inclilometers to measure the inclination/tilt and direction/azimuth of the borehole.

ROV (Remote Vehicle Inspection)

European Geophysical Services Ltd offers a specialist survey service using a Remote Operated Vehicle (ROV) which allows underwater inspection of reservoir dam walls, water tanks, underground service reservoirs, flooded tunnels and adits wells and shafts.

Water Quality Tool

This tool incorporates high quality sensors to measure three parameters of water quality– Dissolved Oxygen, Acidity and REDOX (Reduction Oxidation).

Nitrate Tool

The Nitrate sonde allows for a continuous profile of the Nitrate levels in borehole fluids to be recorded. The Nitrate Tool uses a sealed system that measures the attenuation of Ultraviolet (UV) at specific wavelengths.
